Copper(I) thiophenecarboxylate aka CuTC is the awesomest source of soluble Cu(I) ever. Many moons ago I made a few grams according to this ref: JACS 1996(118) 2748. It served me well for several years, sitting on the bench (parafilmed) the whole while. I highly recommmend.
